Everlasting Circles
 |
Linda's latest CD is co-composed and produced by hit record maker Andy Whitmore. This gives a more commercial edge but still with jazz routes. All the musicians are cherry picked with Lee Goodall on flute and sax and Linda playing trumpet on "Walk and Talk". Her only cover is "Oh Lori" a hit from the 70s bringing back happy memories for some. Her lyrical content speaks mostly of optimism, ,joy and wonder. Take a listen to "Angel of Wonder" |

Lady of Light, A Kaleidoscope of Mystical Jazz Songs |
 |
This unique collection of songs may well become
a new trend in the jazz vocal category combining a solid foundation of established
classical and jazz musicians. It encompasses the harp and flute on front line
along with the magical tone and lyrics of Linda Angelis- hence the style mystical
jazz.
Most of the songs are written and produced
by Linda with the exception of one famous tune "Little Sunflower" composed
by Freddy Hubbard and now re-titled "Flower of Life" after Linda
adding her lyrics and playing flugelhorn.
It is truly a kaleidoscope of musicians and
songs recorded over a number of years with many colours and messages of beauty,
truth and harmony. The first song began with "Ring of Fantasy" where
pianist Steve Plews helped create this fairytale sound.
The title track "Lady of Light" was
influenced by the late Princess Diana who shone her light with true compassion.
In this album Linda's intention is to commune
with the heart and spirit of the listener leaving them with a feeling of inspiration
to fulfil their own creative potential. |
